In Spanish what we see is what we say. This is the reason we are so surprised with English. To have more opportunities to practice the sounds we are studying in each unit,  we will watch the videos in the blog.

New digraph, a single sound which is represented by two letters "Sh". Let's watch the video to improve our productions.

We have started the diagraph "ch". A new step on our phonic's trend. Finding the sound on a poem has been a nice activity to get familiar with these two letters.

On Monday we have a friendly exam and it will be sensible to review some of the  activities we have been doing. Now, that the ABC is finished , let watch this video with all the letters.

And the PENCIL CASE check out is highly recommended! El estuche para los días de exámenes, en los que trabajamos individualmente, o para cuando vamos a otras clases debe tener lo necesario y en buenas condiciones:
  • lápiz con punta afilada
  • goma
  • pinturas

And finally we have reached the end of the English ABC with letter Z. Remember , remember they don't have the cute letter Ñ!

Just to end up the ABC two very easy sounds. Here it goes the usual video with the X.

Another video to get more practice although I know you don't have any trouble with this sound. The yo, yo yo for everything is a good exercise.

We are almost at the end of the ABC and thanks to the phonics we are learning we start  enjoying  a wonderful "Phonics game" Next week, we will continue. If you want to win on the board,  you need to practice the different sounds. Good luck!

In our language this letter sound similar to the b however, in English is different. Let's practice with this video.

I guess these beautiful letters and the videos, together with our games will help making  this area  of our English lesson more enjoyable.

Little by little we are mastering the sounds of English. This one is very easy for us!

A new unit , a new set of letters ( I, J, K, L ) a new way to learn the sounds creating expectation with a bag full of realia (iguana, ink, kiwi, jam, koala, keys, lipstick, lace, insects, kangaru...)

This letter sounds quite different in English compared to the Spanish sound . The "J" in "Javier come  jamón en junio"  has nothing to do with the "J" in "Jason wears blue jeans in June".

Learn the sound in  English will help us when reading and writing. Let's try a new one and listen to the song.
This is the right week to work on this letter H. Halloween is everywhere at school.

I've got a  greek goat and a bunch of green grapes!

Once we master the pronunciation we can have Fun with a tonguetwister "Four furious friends fought for the phone".

A new set of letters comes along with our Playtime unit. Let's try more words with this video.

Last letter in our unit 1 !

C for "creativity"
