Animals are classified into different groups based on their characteristics. Invertebrates are animals that do not have a spine or backbone. Vertebrates, on the contrary, have a backbone.
Vertebrates are classified into fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals.
Now that we have a general idea let's go through English!

Amazing animals by Johannes Stoetter
At the time Edgar was visiting us, the political and civil world leaders gathered for the annual Conference of Parties (COP25) in Madrid. This event allowed teaching children to understand the perils of climate change and the value of clean air, water, and earth we had debates and different activities.
We, in our role of artists, have prepared a collective mural with our resolutions and an amazing Earth. The spectators are made aware of the climate crisis and emergency.
Durante la visita de Edgar se celebró en Madrid una reunión muy importante, no solo por los asistentes sino por el tema Cambio Climático. Nosotros estábamos estudiando el Universo, en particular la Tierra: características, problemas, soluciones.

7 COP25 Madrid
Edgar asistió a la COP25 en compañía de Nicolás ¡qué suerte!
Nuestras actividades fueron multiples y en todas las áreas; Ciencias Naturales, Ciencias Sociales, Plástica, Valores, Música e Inglés.
- Dejamos escritos nuestros compromisos para ayudar a la Tierra.
- Completamos mapas.
- Diseñamos nuestros pasaportes para viajar y conocer nuevos paises.
- Hicimos emoticones con la Tierra.
- Creamos una preciosísima Tierra reciclando papel de periódico
- Cantamos "Mother Earth"
We all liked Colorin's story very much and we all wanted a butterfly in our lives. In no time at all, we got started on a butterfly project right away.
Edgar también se emocionó con la mariposa Colorin y se hicieron grandes amigos, la verdad es que desde entonces viajan juntos y comparten la caja de los recuerdos.

It was an amazing project! All together they decorated our mural for some time until we decided to take the butterflies home with us.
En plástica comprobamos que seguir las instrucciones no impide que podamos ser muy creativos. Nuestra mariposas son ¡únicas!

In our class, we love butterflies! From Lucy's presentation "Symetry" we had a very good understanding on this idea and, good fun drawing on the whiteboard.This animal is a good inspiration for addings more colour into our class.

As a result of an incident involving the destruction of one of the displays, today, on the Peace Day, one class have been talking about how they could improve their behaviour in and out of the classroom. They came up with 6 guidelines for our behaviour , which we will try to follow. We will do the same with the rest of the classes on the first cycle.
This is our first experience meeting art and technology.People visiting our exhibition can use their phone to scan the QR codes and listen to our little artists. They tell us who they are and what's their favourite toy, the same they have painted.
No matter which group I teach, the "cooking colour afternoon" is a success.So many faces filled with joy and satisfaction! Kids love to experiment and just, while taking some pics, I could see concentration, friendship, admiration for other's work and collaboration.
Cooking colours for our artwork "My favourite toy". A nice and exciting way to deal with the theory of colour. We have made the primary colours (red, blue and yellow) and out of them the secondary colours ( green, purple and orange) and we have had lot of fun !!!

Flascards and realia offer inspiring assortments about various topics (colours, numbers, objects, animals...)and encourage brainstorming.Then we listen to the melody Johannes Brahms: Lullaby, Waltz in A flan major Op.39/15 in group A and Edvard Grieg: March of the Dwarfs Op 54/3 in group B. The melody engage in creating a drawing and finally kids describe it in front of the whole class. With these early art works, we are going to open our Art Gallery!

¡Hola! tenemos dos versiones (Sara y Pelayo) y aquí he colocado la primera en un nuevo formato y con todos los dibujos que he recogido. Iván ha merecido la pena el esfuerzo, te ha quedado muy bien.
Arte y creatividad han sido los hilos conductores de las múltiples actividades que hemos realizado este año.Iniciamos el curso con la visita al Centro de Arte de Alcobendas y finalizamos en este parque maravilloso El Retiro.
En esta "extraña" semana hemos realizado nuestra primera salida extraescolar al Centro de Arte de Alcobendas.Nuestra visita transcurrió en dos ambientes; el de la mediateca y el de la colección de arte contemporáneo "Los Bragales".
Acompañados por Bea, una guía de la institución, hicimos la lectura formal (características de la obra) y material (materiales que el autor ha utilizado) de algunas obras.Vimos cuadros de malla y cartulina, masa y vidrios, óleo y madera, óleo y arena, fotografías ...esculturas, maquetas y un niño de más o menos nuestra edad con tan sólo unas zapatillas azules ( esta escultura no pasó desapercibida para ninguno).
Personalmente la muestra me gustó mucho por la variedad de estilos, materiales y por las posibilidades didácticas que brinda para una labor en el aula.Por la tarde los niños realizaron sus propias creaciones inspiradas en la visita y resulta sorprendente comprobar el poso que dejan este tipo de actividades. La creatividad la tienen y la llevan a la escuela todos los niños, el problema es alimentarla, enseñarles a mirar no solamente a ver, a crear no tan sólo a copiar a ser no solamente a estar con sus obras.
