This week we have started with the regular timetable, we all feel excited because the specialist teachers start classes with us.
We are studying school matters ( places, people, objects...) and the links introduced in the virtual classroom have new resources to practice these contents. The new Language Assistant Elly joined us last week and we are delighted!

A different way to visit our school and a nice way to learn the different names of the rooms at school. This gives you the opportunity to review unit 1 and to enjoy the video.Who is Pozuel? It´s me !!! Different name for different things .That's cool.

A new week is about to start and new challenges are waiting for all of us in our creative classroom

We begin to learn the different objects of our class and this video serves a useful purpose.

FELIZ AÑO ESCOLAR 2018-2019!

Just to keep alive our moments together during the second term and preparing the last and most exciting term!

Welcome back to the Second Term. It promises to be a fulfilling term full of surprises. Our students will be excited to learn with their classmates in school after such a long break.

Behaviour management is actually a significant part of what we have to do everyday.Filling agendas after an incident or to state the missing homework, book, unpunctuality...is, more often than not, a waste of time and energy.

The transitions from one subject to other, from our class to gym, music, lab, library, play ground...are the more disruptive moments. With Class Dojo, you earn points for classroom participation, team work, hard work, being on task and more.
We have started with this application this week; both teachers, we  can handle the Dojo's  class from the Smartphone and tablet, wherever we are at school. This tool provides graphs to view at class level or individual student what makes easy the data tracking for the evaluation.
We hope it helps to improve our creative classroom.

A little film to introduce Class Dojo

Hope this wonderful summer weather helps you to enjoy the weekend.New challenges for the coming week, may be some surprises, no doubt one exam on Monday! Friday will be day off "St Isidro"

El lunes tenemos un test y os recuerdo  lo de siempre "camarón que se despista, se lo lleva la corriente"

On Sunday, our assistant Lucy ran The London Marathon (42km) with her dad. It was a fantastic experience, as there were thousands of people watching and cheering the runners on.

Now, Lucy is very tired but also very proud of herself and her dad, especially as a week ago he was injured and had to walk with a walking stick!

What kind of sports do you do with your family? How do you feel after playing sport? Would you like to run a marathon one day?

Today, our 5th graders are participating in 'The School Olympics' athletic competition. We wish them all the best and hope that they enjoy their day!

Sometimes we get emails from students and assistants and they will make our day!Leo was a second grader last year and Chris our American Assistant. Currently  they both are in USA, in Boston, can't you imagine! This is the latest news from Boston sent by Chris.

"A few weeks ago, I was fortunate to have a classic Spanish breakfast with the family of one of CEIP Tagore's own: Leo . It was lovely to reconnect with Leo, hear how much his English has improved, and listen to him talk about his experiences in the United States, which I know that he will be anxious to share with you all when he returns to Tagore. Make sure that you ask him about this winter; Boston had record snowfall this year!

Talking with he and his family about Madrid made me miss the city, the country, and most of all, the students and teachers at Tagore who made my time there so enjoyable and rewarding. I've attached a picture of Leo and I that was taken at our breakfast.

I hope that you've all had a terrific school year. I send my regards to everyone at Tagore and look forward to visiting in the future, whenever I can make it back to Spain."

Looking forward to hearing you Leo!

Kids, whenever you say "I can't find my pencil!" I would like to say " Don't worry, I have a lot". I can't say that but by understanding the importance of managing our supplies we can improve the present situation. I guess it is time for a Great Pencil Challenge! and for having our toys in order.

The weather is wonderful, we start a new weekend and the exam on Monday is going to be very easy after all the hard work you have done.

Thank you for attending the second term general meeting. We work hard to make sure important information is shared and the coming school projects are explained  for an easy colaboration. A summary of the meeting will be upload on the parent's site as soon as possible.
New tutorials to build stronger home-school connections, to better support learning of our students will be assigned and you will get the date and time.

Some of our students and teachers are sick.We hope you get well soon. We miss you!!! As per the coming exam on Monday , don't worry I 'll fix a new date for you.

The year is coming to an end. It's time to tidy up a little, to upload our best pics on the photo gallery, to make a review progress and achievements.

El año 2014 está llegando a su fin y es momento de recordar los gratos momentos y  que suelen ir acompañados de sonrisas.

Smiles as on the pictures and Help as in the song is all we need to welcome  2015

We have just started a new and real unit " Where 's the ball? " First graders , both of them, have no idea of where is the football. Lack of interest! Who was the responsible for bringing back the ball in each class? How are we going to find a solution? Are the football on the garden next to our playground? ...While we solve our little problems we can watch this video.

Patience is one of the best strategic ally for working at school.Little ones are impatient by nature. One thing is clear, the better we feel about ourselves the more able we are to hold ourselves together with authentic patience when the situation requires.
Can we buy patience? In a way yes, in a very little village Almazán (Soria-Spain) there is a typical product named "paciencias" "patiences" .Since 1820 Almarza has been elaborating these little delicatessen and today,  we have had some. Hope it works in all of us!

A short video about patience...

It's Thursday however for teachers and students, at least in Madrid, starts a long weekend. The weather is fine as for going to the park or wherever your family plans to go .I'll be in Italy to see, hear, taste, smell and feel. It is my senses experiment!
A nice long weekend  to speak Italian and  enjoy the beautiful city of Rome.

Ci vediamo Lunedi! See you on Monday!

I am delighted to introduce Lucy, the new language assistant this year. She is from Great Britain and  we have enjoyed her PowerPoint presentation. Now , we know many things about Lucy, her country and her favourite toy...

"Hello, I am Lucy, the new language assistant. I am from the north of England, though I have lived in Madrid for 2 years. I have really enjoyed my first few days at the school and I am really looking forward to helping you all to improve your English! "
