We had an experiment to learn about our sense of smell. Science projects and experiments can be fun.

We are in a new an amazing unit. We have a  multy sensory experiment to do but first,  let's watch this video.

Senses and Christmas time. The outside world shapes children's development through experiences that they have, which include exposure to the five senses senses.

And the lyrics ...

Our first outing to La Casa de Campo has been very rewarding.Every season has its own sights, sounds and smells.

Today we have  finished up with our smell experiment in group B. We know that smell affects taste.Yesterday, group B had a lovely butterfly cake to celebrate Chloé 's birthday! We couldn't mix garlic, "cabrales" cheese with the cake . No way!!!

Some ideas:

To review the senses while you enjoy the weekend.

In our park with my eyes  I can see............
and now with your ears you can hear this nice song about friends.

We keep learning about our five senses that allow  us to enjoy our life.We need to investigate what is the "sentido común" "common sense", adults mention from time to time. What is it? Where is it? Who has it?...

Let's go outside in this autumn day! Just collecting leaves for our classroom we can go through our unit "the five senses".
  • We can SEE the colours of the leaves with our eyes.
  • We can SMELL the leaves with our nose.
  • We can TOUCH the leaves with our hands.
  • We can HEAR the crunchy leaves with our ears.
  • We can TASTE the snack "merienda" with our tongue.
