We have started in Natural Science unit 3  " Healthy Bodies ", and in English unit 5 "What do we eat?".

• distinguir diferentes tipos de alimentos.

• diferenciar entre las frutas y las verduras.

• conocer los alimentos que son sanos.

• clasificarlos según su origen vegetal o animal y, entre los últimos,    según procedan del cerdo, la vaca o la gallina.

• identificar las principales comidas del día y relacionarlas con los alimentos que se suelen tomar en ellas.

• promover hábitos saludables en las comidas.

We’re All Wonders may be Auggie’s story, but it taps into every child’s longing to belong, and to be seen for who they truly are. It has been the perfect way to talk about empathy and kindness in our classroom.After all, we’re all different in our own way and we’re all wonders too.

Roberto's VERY BAD DAY gets even WORSE when the Temper Tantrum Monster explodes & Roberto hurts the things he loves!Temper tantrums are common and often a normal part of kids growing up while learning to deal with their emotions.Our goal is to teach them socially appropriate ways to deal with his big feelings.The book we have read has delighted our first graders.

The squirrel Saltarina lived in a nest made of branches and pieces of cloth that her parents had collected here and there. When her parents left, they left her with her sister Brincapinos, who, being older, could take good care of her. But Saltarina was very unpleasant with her. A story about guilt and responsability.

How cool to have storytelling back to school in our new classroom with the teacher ! Poor little Wemberly worried about many things including "school" "teacher" "classmates" and you...

Erreka Mary is a Basque Country folk tale.Second graders read, record voices, illustrate the story and perform the tale for the pre-school students. They reflect on the importance of enviromental and water care and contribute with a digital book to the  World Water Day.

April 23 is a special day . It´s World Book Day. It is a celebration created in 1995 by UNESCO . It´s a world tribute to books and authors who have contributed to encourage reading and to discover the pleasure of reading.

Este año celebraremos el Día del Libro participando en el I Certamen de Microrrelatos Digitales organizado por la Biblioteca del colegio con la colaboración del APA.El tema de los trabajos es libre pero deberá terminar con la siguiente frase: ...y el Día del Libro fue más digital que nunca.

Dear Zoo  is the book we have being reading. It's  about a letter to the zoo from a child who wants a pet. They send various different animals, all of which prove unsuitable for one reason or another the elephant is too big, the lion too fierce, the giraffe too tall, the monkey too naughty. Finally, the zoo send a puppy: "He was perfect! I kept him." 

This is one of our Christmas recycling activities based on a Xmas story.Merry Christmas Big Hungry Bear is a story about a little mouse and a big bear who lives in a cold dark cave.The mouse always receives lots of presents at Christmas but the bear never gets any. One night the mouse dresses up as Santa Claus and takes a present to the bear. When he gets to the bear's cave he is surprised to see that the bear has a present for him.

“At Christmas time we should think of those less fortunate than ourselves.”

Beautiful day to visit the Book Fair, to attend a workshop and to enjoy the Retiro Park. This year the main topic of the child  pavillion is "HEARTS" "CORAZONES" so we have had games related to it. Then a nice story "La niña que no sabía sonreir" followed by many more interesting things.

After having visited the library to borrow a new book, we have enjoyed a storytelling Manuela goes to the supermarket. Lucy was reading this book and we has to pay attention to show the correct flashcard. Great activity!!!

This is  the final result of our autumn project based on the chestnut-seller story; two little books illustrated after having done a reading comprehension of the text. Both groups A and B  have enjoyed this activity that is being complemented with a drama performance on English.
