Esta semana entregué los Sellos de Calidad eTwinning a cada uno de los  participantes en el proyecto Edgar. Visité las tres aulas en las que este año están distribuidos mi ex-alumnos  y aunque  la celebración fue minimalista y se limitó a la entrega del diploma y de una carta, sin embargo, fue muy  memorable. En la actual situación debemos ser prudentes, la seguridad y la salud son lo prioritario.

Si con   "Juguetes para promover cultura "en 2014 conseguí   mi  primer Sello de Calidad Europeo y el primero para CEIP Rabindranath Tagore, con "Proyecto Edgar" en 2020 consigo el último y cierro mi etapa de eTwinner, una    experiencia muy enriquecedora e inolvidable.

En estos años se han ido sumando compañeras a esta iniciativa europea y hasta la fecha el centro cuenta con cinco sellos de calidad europeos. En 2017 conseguimos ser  eTwinning School , reconocimiento que no me cabe duda se volverá a revalidar  con el trabajo y entusiasmo de las nuevas generaciones de docentes.

It is always an amazing experience to be awarded by eTwinning, especially this year with so many difficulties.

As I have told you, Edgar, is already in Germany and as it is normal  at this time of the year, he also has to take exams. He has to make a presentation of all his experiences during these months in which he has visited different schools. He needs to convince a jury of how important his activities with children have been, what we have learned and how much fun we have had.

At the moment I leave you a game to dream of wonderful vacations in the member countries with which we have worked on this project.

15 Edgar plans summer holidays

Tal y como os he contado Edgar ya está en Alemania y como es habitual en estas fechas , también él tiene que realizar exámenes. Tiene que hacer una presentación de todas sus experiencias durante estos meses en los que ha visitado diferentes colegios. Tiene que convencer a un jurado de lo importantes que han sido sus actividades con los niños, lo que hemos aprendido y lo mucho que nos hemos divertido.

De momento os dejo un juego para soñar con vacaciones maravillosas en los países miembros con los que hemos trabajado en este proyecto.

11 Mission "Edgar" 

Cuando cerraron los colegios, Edgar estaba visitando un colegio de Córdoba y allí ha permanecido durante esta cuarentena. En Alemania todo empieza a funcionar poco a poco y por esa razón Edgar quiere regresar a su casa y contar todas sus aventuras.
Le podemos ayudar participando en la Mission "Edgar" y descubriendo el código secreto que abre la puerta del colegio.

En cada misión se descubre una cifra que apuntamos en un papel.
Al terminar las cuatro misiones tengo cuatro cifras ???? y ese será el número del código secreto.

Time has passed faster than we would have liked and we finally had to say goodbye to Edgar. We organized a tea-time and put Edgar in his box. The box also contains special souvenirs, works that he collects at each school he visits.

Finalmente llegó el día de la despedida! De nuevo Edgar regresó a su caja donde guarda  recuerdos y trabajos que recoge en las escuelas que visita. Hicimos una fiesta tea-time  donde además aprendimos muchas cosas sobre el té; dónde y como se cultiva, los diferentes tipos, cómo hacer un té rico y los utensilios necesarios.

A workshop was conducted by our school nurse on the importance of handwashing. The children were also explained how bacteria spreads through our different senses organs. The workshop aimed at making children aware of different ways of washing hands and the importance of using soap or hand wash.

9 Washing hands

A practical demo was given for a better understanding of washing hands properly, to the children and to Edgar. The children enjoyed the session and learned a valuable lesson through the workshop.

Keeping our hands clean is one of the most key steps in order to avoid spreading germs and keeping healthy because hands are the most exposed part of one's body.

Todos nuestros talleres y experimentos resultan interesantes pero este cursillo acelerado de cómo lavarse las manos correctamente ha resultado ser muy útil para nosotros y para Edgar.

Lo que más nos fascinó u horrorizó es ver lo que teníamos en las manos cuando se proyectaba la luz de una linterna mágica. 


Hicimos un experimento con dos rebanadas de pan de molde; una la tocábamos con  las manos sucias y la otra  con las manos limpias. 
El final de aquel experimento ha resultado un poco extraño. Creemos que nos hemos equivocado al poner los carteles. 

¿Qué sucedió? El pan que se puso marrón era el que según el cartel había sido tocado con las  manos limpias. El pan que seguía blanco correspondía a las manos sucias. Conclusión: hay que repetirlo y ser más cuidadosos en todas las fases del experimento.

8 Science Week 2019

Science can help us to answer the what, the why and the how, while also revealing new questions. It is a problem solver, helping us to crack everyday challenges.

Once again, Edgar was in the right place at the right time.

¿Quién es un científico? ¿Qué hace? ¿Cómo trabaja? fueron algunas de las preguntas que nuestro papá-científico nos respondió. Tuvimos una presentación y por  supuesto hicimos un experimento aplicando el método científico.

HANDS-ON!

At the time Edgar was visiting us, the political and civil world leaders gathered for the annual Conference of Parties (COP25) in Madrid. This event allowed teaching children to understand the perils of climate change and the value of clean air, water, and earth we had debates and different activities.

We, in our role of artists, have prepared a collective mural with our resolutions and an amazing Earth. The spectators are made aware of the climate crisis and emergency. 

Durante la visita de Edgar se celebró en Madrid una reunión muy importante, no solo por los asistentes sino por el tema Cambio Climático. Nosotros estábamos estudiando el Universo, en particular la Tierra: características, problemas, soluciones.

7 COP25 Madrid

Edgar asistió a la COP25 en compañía de Nicolás ¡qué suerte!

Nuestras actividades fueron multiples y en todas las áreas; Ciencias Naturales, Ciencias Sociales, Plástica, Valores, Música e Inglés.

• Dejamos escritos nuestros compromisos para ayudar a la Tierra. 
• Completamos mapas.
• Diseñamos nuestros pasaportes para viajar y conocer nuevos paises.
• Hicimos emoticones con la Tierra.
• Creamos una preciosísima Tierra reciclando papel de periódico
• Cantamos "Mother Earth"

Hoy os invito a pasear por un  bosque y a recordar aquellos momentos tan estupendos. 



Y toda esta magia se inició cuando descubrimos el Sistema Solar.
