Blue Christmas Works

We miss you!!!

Let's make the chimney!!!

Incredible but true! Some of the students said that even if we paint a chimney, Santa Claus won´t come to our class!  Christmas time is the most magical time of the year.  For this reason, this weekend for homework they have been given a stocking to decorate with their family.  Next week we will place them with our classroom chimney and we will see what happens!  I do believe in Santa Claus and his friends, like the Three Kings, the Befana, and Viejito Pascuero.

Christmas Carol

This is our Christmas Carol for the coming Festival. It's important to know the lirics and to practise.

Barney: "I love you"

Today we began learning the theme song to "Barney" a children´s program in Sophia's country, the United States. It´s a song about family and friends and caring for them.

My school

A different way to visit our school and a nice way to learn the different names of the rooms at school. This gives you the opportunity to review unit 1 and to enjoy the video.Who is Pozuel? It´s me !!! Different name for different things .That's cool.

Traffic safety

Next Wednesday we have Educación Vial.Children who are pedestrians or bikers, need to learn the rules of the road to ensure their safety.

Doing things right

María is sick,
she is in bed.
She's got a pain,
in her head.
The doctor says,
drink honey and lemon.
stay in bed
and no television
and the homework?
First get well, please

We miss you!!!

Be Thankful

Be thankful for home
Be thankful for food
Be thankful for birds that fly
Be thankful for sleep
Be thankful for flowers
Be thankful for clouds in the sky.
Be thankful for friends
Be thankful for rain
And the rainbows that follow close by.

This isn't just a turkey
As everyone can see,
I made it with my hand
Which is part of me.
It comes with lots of love
Especially to say,
I hope that your
Thanksgiving Day
has been a lot of fun.

More about our body

The long weekend is almost over I wish you are ready for a new week! In class we were singing this song in a different version, I think this speed suits us better.

Blue Splash!!!

 Art and Crafts

This week we have started our Blue Splash! project. Some days ago,we had some attemps on paper in order to be familiar with the wax crayons, the water colours and the draws we wanted to copy. The presentation helps us to follow the steps and to act out the instructions in a poetic way.We are aware of the importance of our plate and that's why students are very commited.

Gogo's again!

Our Mini-books

Well done! We have different and beautiful mini-books.I appreciate your effort and your family help!As you know, homework, projects and the daily work are part of the final mark.

Fox and rabbit

This is our new game! Everyone pairs up and hold hands. One person in the group is the fox and other is the rabbit. The fox must try and tag the rabbit. The rabbit runs away but can get into a "burrow" which is in between a pair arms. If the rabbit goes into a burrow, whoever he/she has its back to is the new rabbit who must run away. If the fox can tag the rabbit, the rabbit then becomes the fox and the new rabbit must run away.

Accordion Book

Hello kids! This long weekend is a good moment to make the long zig-zag book or accordion book with our "Orange, Orange Pumpkin" Group A has already the copies. I encourage you to make the book and to read the story to your family.

From First Grade a la Carte

"H" For Halloween and for Homework

Nombramos juguetes, colores, respondemos a preguntas What's this?

Weekend cartoon!

Leaves, senses and decoration.

Let's go outside in this autumn day! Just collecting leaves for our classroom we can go through our unit "the five senses".
  • We can SEE the colours of the leaves with our eyes.
  • We can SMELL the leaves with our nose.
  • We can TOUCH the leaves with our hands.
  • We can HEAR the crunchy leaves with our ears.
  • We can TASTE the snack "merienda" with our tongue.
