Days of rehearsals with Christmas spirit to end up the term with joy.

Gatatumba

Christmas Cards

Weeks of creativity making cards for our eTwinning partners and learning different techniques (pop up Christmas tree, paperstrip trees ...).

Hands on!

We had an experiment to learn about our sense of smell. Science projects and experiments can be fun.

Our senses

We are in a new an amazing unit. We have a  multy sensory experiment to do but first,  let's watch this video.

Five Senses

Senses and Christmas time. The outside world shapes children's development through experiences that they have, which include exposure to the five senses senses.

And the lyrics ...

Christmas is coming!

Our eTwinning project Sharing Cities-Sharing Cultures starts its ride and our school tie in with our partners in Italy and in Madrid. We all look forward to learning from each other, participating and sharing ideas.

This is our Christmas Carol for the coming Festival. It's important to know the lyrics and to practice to make a great performance.

Our body

To revise the body parts we have been learning this week, here you have this video.

And the song " Head, shoulders, knees and toes" you know so well.

This week flew by!

We have just finished the unit, My City, and we are about to start a long weekend. In other words, we have a great opportunity to explore all the wonderful places that our city has to offer. Perhaps we could visit the Retiro, the Plaza Mayor, or maybe the shops in our neighborhood such as the butcher's, the baker's or the chemist's, so as the kids can see first-hand the things that we have been learning about.

Well done LucĂa! Congratulations!

Exam time again!!

Let's revise a bit of vocabulary. Don't forget to use the online book and  the CD, in the case of English.

The Chestnut Seller

Once upon a time, there was a chestnut seller called Maria...

Wonderful time in the library!!!

Wonder

We’re All Wonders may be Auggie’s story, but it taps into every child’s longing to belong, and to be seen for who they truly are. It has been the perfect way to talk about empathy and kindness in our classroom. After all, we’re all different in our own way and we’re all wonders too.

Our school and our classroom!

A different way to visit our school and a nice way to learn the different names of the rooms at school. This gives you the opportunity to review unit 1 and to enjoy the video.Who is Pozuel? It´s me !!! Different name for different things .That's cool.

A new week is about to start and new challenges are waiting for all of us in our creative classroom

School supplies

We begin to learn the different objects of our class and this video serves a useful purpose.

What a tantrum!

Roberto's VERY BAD DAY gets even WORSE when the Temper Tantrum Monster explodes & Roberto hurts the things he loves!Temper tantrums are common and often a normal part of kids growing up while learning to deal with their emotions. Our goal is to teach them socially appropriate ways to deal with his big feelings. The book we have read has delighted our first graders.

Happy weekend!

Our lovely city has beautiful places to enjoy and  learn.La Casa de Campo, El Retiro...with the trees, lake, playground areas and the view of the city are amazing. I think they are  very nice places to enjoy in a bright weekend as this one.
This beautiful song will help to review the colours.

A new story!

The squirrel Saltarina lived in a nest made of branches and pieces of cloth that her parents had collected here and there. When her parents left, they left her with her sister Brincapinos, who, being older, could take good care of her. But Saltarina was very unpleasant with her. A story about guilt and responsability.

Learning numbers!

Learning numbers in a variety of ways; songs, games, colouring...

The little school in the green

Telling the time

The following video will help you to review the time in English. Why is important to tell the time?

World Heritage

Gaudi's mosaic technique is what we are going to use in our project murals. "Trencadis" is a Catalan word that means smashed or broken.
